Matalie's Sweet Shoppe!

I haven't mentioned much about it, but Amy has been busy the past few weeks putting together an amazing party for Matalie's first birthday!

Matalie's Sweet Shoppe opened the day after Big Dave Mabes Birthday Celebration. A late night of games and fruity drinks made for an early morning setting up!

But we got it all done and it was exactly the way we pictured it!

She had the party at our house. A lot of people ended up not being able to come, but we still had about 20 people and the cute factor was worth the work.

The main attraction, other then Fat Mat, was the candy buffet. It was adorable!

We were going to do Bakerella's Cake Pops, but decided the Chocolate Covered Marshmellows that I did for Josie's party would be better for the kiddos.

Then Amy made big candy out of paper lanterns, paper plates, and celophane. Isn't she crafty?!?!

As if that wasn't cute enough, she made a ton of cupcakes, pinwheel sandwiches, and had chips and salsa. Yum!

We saw these cupcake toppers online but they were charging an arm and a leg for them. Luckily I have Publisher and was able to come up with something almost exactly like what we saw!

The Guest Of Honor arrived and, as you can see, she could hardly contain her excitement!

Even Olivia was on her best behavior. She even granted Matalie a smile!

Fat Mat was unusually quiet the whole party. I think she was trying to figure out what was going on!

She knew exactly what the candy buffet was for though! Whoever was standing closest to it got to hold her!

Then it was cake time!

We all expected her to go hog wild, but she chose today to become a dainty eater!

One little finger tip full at a time!

Well, maybe three little finger tips at a time!

We had hoped to have the party outside, but Georgia is acting very strange right now. We did end up getting to play outside for a little while but not for long.

I still can't believe she wasn't here last year.

The party was great. I wanted to leave the decorations up forever. They were so happy!

And you know it was a good party when five minutes after the last guest leaves you look over to find this:

Sweet little girls, all partied out!
