to this:
But she did.
365 days ago, I woke up at the crack of dawn to go help my best friend usher a new life into the World.
I knew it was going to be a life changing experience, probably the closest to the first breath I would ever get.
What I didn't know was how that little first breath would take mine away. And continue to for the next 365 days.
My Little Fat Mat.
The sweetest thing under 2 feet tall.
Her crooked little grin and her chubby little fingers.
Her nearly bald head and her roly poly thighs.
A smile so bright, I can't help but forgive her when she runs into my ankles with her walker...Again.
She has her Aunt Nic wrapped around her finger and I can't wait to sneak her things her Mama says she can't have.
Like Spinach and Carrots (just kidding Amers!)
I'm not sure if I love her the way I do because I saw her first moments in this World or just because she's my Fatty Matty, but if the last 365 days are any indication, we're going to have a lot of fun together!
Happy Birthday Matalie Francis. May your next 365 days be filled with belly laughs and growling!
Your Aunt Nic loves you more then you will ever know.
