Peas In A Pod

We have made it through our first 36 hours as a family of 4 with flying colors!
Josie has taken to her new live in playmate and is trying her best to share. She goes from kissing Karmen to pushing her over.

It's a work in progress.

But for the most part, we've been getting a lot of this... Which melts my heart.
And yes, Karmen is that huge!
We laughed so hard when Karmen was on Josie's lap, but Josie was in Heaven! She weighs the same as Josie did when she came home to us, but seems so much bigger! Plus she does not wrap her legs around you when you carry her so it feels even heavier!
I told Andrew last night that part of our per diem check is going towards a massage. My back is killing me and she's only been here 2 days!
Especially since Josie thinks if I'm carrying Karmen then I need to carry her too!We are working on getting her on a schedule that works for us. She is eating great now and sleeping through the night. We decided to put her to bed half an hour before Josie so we could have that time with just Josie. So far that's worked great.
I took them both out to Target yesterday to get Josie a little gift from her Mae Mae and Opa.
It was a little insane.
Karmen needed a nap and Josie wanted to sit in the baby seat with Karmen.
Not to mention all the weird looks I got with my little black and white babies. I must look like I have a bunch of baby daddies!
So this will be a lesson in putting my pride to the side.

She has bonded to me like super glue. I am not sure how much she was mothered before coming here.

Karmen will have a visit with her Mom today at DFCS. We have never had a placement that had parental visits so this will be new for me. I have to have her up there by 1 and then come pick her up at 3.
I am looking forward to a few hours with just Josie, but I am nervous about how Karmen will handle it. I'm not sure how much of this she actually understands.
I am going to try to get more details about the case plan and what the time frame looks like when I'm up there today.
Op, babies are waking up! Time to clock in.

It is hilarious seeing them next to (on top of) eachother! I can't believe Josie is so small! You always say she is, but it puts it in perspective when you see them together! They look so cute though!

Wow! I can't believe how big she is! Glad to hear that everyone is adjusting so well. Josie seems to be reacting to her exactly how T is reacting to my friend's baby that we are watching - good moments and moments that need a little work.

That is Priceless! Karmen is beautiful!!! They are way too cute for words.

I think this is going to be a great way to work Josie into sharing for "school" and such. Bear and Moe are really good at it because they have to share with eachother already.

I am telling you, there is nothing more tormenting than carrying TWO at the same time... both ours weigh 25 lbs and up so it is CRAZY torturous on the back!
