Couch Time...

Thank God for free therapy, good friends, and the ability to completely and totally deny the less desirable parts of my life.

So far, in the year of 2009, I have not done any of the following...

Since Andrew made the "ready for stay at home mom time" declaration, I have not found it near impossible to make myself get out of bed for work. I don't sit at my desk and dream about all the housewife jobs I'm going to do. Is it February 6th yet?!?

On the other hand, it also isn't me who is completely terrified, scared, shaking in my boots, needing a prozac, frightened about telling my boss I'm leaving! I havn't rehearsed what I will say or planned out the time of day (probably as I run out the door on a Friday afternoon!) that I will have "the talk."

I am not trying to devise a way to get some free goods for Josie from people. I do not want to be one of those ladies that gets to do all the reviews and sample all the cool gadgets. That would make me a moocher. So not me.

I didn't laugh to myself when Little Lukey was less then thrilled, in fact, didn't even finish opening the gift I got him for his birthday. (I knew I should have bought him a lifesized dinasour!)

It wasn't I who got a totally blank stare from her husband as I told him about "Kam's" (yup, that's you Kameron at A Wrinkle In Time!) blog entry. It didn't take me several minutes to realize that he would have no idea who Kam is! Lordy Lordy, I might need to start spending some time with my IRL (In Real Life) friends!

Not even once this week have I bribed my daughter with chocolate. She eats her dinner without any prompting and I do not condone behaviors that could lead to serious chocolate addictions. (Heck, she's my daughter, of course she'll have a slight chocolate addiction!)

He might not have paid no attention to it then, but when he got home and realized what it was i don't think i have enough room on my fridge for all the pictures he has painted. :)

Every girl in the world loves a little chocolate now and then. ;)

Great list! It was not me who asked her husband to log in to MckMama's blog while he was at work and I was out running errands to check and see if she posted Not Me! Monday yet:) Poor hubby's, if only they could really understand that our blogging friends are just as cool as our IRL friends ;)

I think most, ok... probably all girls can be brided with chocolate. Its our weakness ;)

Btw, just wanted to say how much I applaud you and your husband for fostering and adopting. I work with kids and I am a foster aunt at the moment and know what an emotional, heart-breaking, yet completely rewarding experience it can be.

Yeah, I think we all slip up and talk about our blog friends to our spouse and get that crazy look. Oh well, they just don't get it.
