Babba Boxes

Summer is over and we are trying to find our new routines.

I'm excited to get rolling full force but struggling a bit with my new super early wake up time.  I was feeling a bit guilty about the afternoon grumps that were going on.  And then BabbaBox sent us a box to review and somehow turned me into Super Mom every afternoon last week.

The BabbaBox program is a monthly subscription that delivers a box of activities, along with all the supplies and directions, right to your door.

Each box comes with everything you need to complete four educational activities with your child.  Seriously, everything you need comes in the box.  Even scissors and pencils!  The boxes also include a book that goes along with that month's theme.

We reviewed the Emotions Box.

I'm a sucker for a theme and was pretty excited when we opened out box.  I had planned to do the activities next week, but Josie insisted we start right away.  Since all the supplies were right there, I had no reason to object.

At first, I thought this feelings board was just a coloring sheet.  I knew Josie would like coloring in the faces but thought that would be it.  She ended up loving this.  She changes out how she's feeling many times during the day.  It's been great for talking about why she is feeling each emotion.

The hand puppets were her favorite hands down.  They have come with us everywhere we go.  I had no clue she liked puppets so much!  These also went perfectly with our spanish program (that teaches with 2 sock puppets!)

Josie also liked the Feeling Finder Glasses.

These weren't as fun for me since she seemed to want to document every time I was frustrated.  She used up the angry faced stickers a little too quick!

Pretty cool, huh?

I can't say how nice it was to have every single thing we needed right in the activity bag.  They were all simple and didn't take a big chunk of time.  Perfect for breaking up a long afternoon.

So Josie's favorite activity was the sock puppets.  Mine?  This back massager that came with the box!

I have no clue why, but this thing feels like Heaven and is easy enough for a certain 5 year old to maneuver.

We loved our BabbaBox!

The monthly subscription is $29.99.  Babba is offering Journey To Josie readers 20% off your first month when you use the code: JJ20OFF.

Coming from a momma who only wishes she had more time to plan and prepare lessons with her rowdy son. I think this would be great for us. :)
Thanks for the ideas you give us all even if we aren't stay at home moms. Babbabox is something we all could do and enjoy without a lot of work.....did i mention i like not doing a lot of work lol.

I can't wait to receive my sun moon and stars babbabox! Babbaboxes seem like the perfect fix for when you just don't feel like or have the time to plan extra activities.

ohh these are amazing! I feel bad entering this, but I'd put it away for when Pen is older, and use it with kids that come over to play too! :)

Nicole,

My youngest would have a blast w/this product and I'm sure my older two would try to get in on the fun. I don't have as much time to put together the fun I would like my children to have (although they do fine on their own) and a box of prepared activities would be great.

How am I feeling? Nervous about some money issues that are out of our control. Being responsible doesn't always equal financial security. (Reminding myself that trusting my Savior does mean we are secure.)

Anyway, this is a great giveaway. My kiddos would love it!
