A New Journey

We will be starting another journey on Monday afternoon.
Adding a little detour.
A 10 month old little girl kind of detour!

It will just be for a few months while the birth mom, who was in foster care and just aged out of the system, gets a place to live and fulltime employment. Probably about 6 months, if that.

I am nervous and excited.
It is kind of a dream placement since we don't want to do adoptive placements right now but we still feel called to help. And this is the first call for only one kid in a very long time.

So I'm off to study what it is that a 10 month old requires. Anyone have any tips???

Crib, diapers, wipes, double stroller, clothes and LOTS of love. Miss Josie will be an awesome 'BIG SISTER" even if it is only for a while. :)

Lots of love but I think you can easily give that.

How cool for all of you! I'm actually watching my friends 10 month old for the next several weeks. It's funny how soon you forget the baby-things when you are wrapped up in toddler-things. But it all comes back, so no worries. T has her moments of jealousy, but overall is adapting very well.

Oh my goodness! That is so exciting.. can't wait to hear about her!

not sure where she is in the eating dept. but baby food (if she is not used to adult food), and formula also. bottles/sippies, bibs. Crawling toys/Walking toys, Anything to encourage her to stand and play or to crawl.. wherever she is mobile wise.

Blessings... it will all come back to you when she gets in your home!

Baby proof. If I remember 10 months that's when they are into everything! And hugs...lots of hugs.
