Meal Plan Wagon

I'm back on it!
I have been so thrown off since vacation that I've been running to the store every other day to get missing ingredients. Not anymore!
Here's what's cooking in the Pope Kitchen this week!

Sunday - Spinach and Cheese Stuffed Shells, Cesar Salad
Monday - Darlene's Home Cooking!
Tuesday - Meatloaf, Broccoli, Mashed Red Potatoes
Wednesday - Oven Fried Chicken, Corn on the Cob, Baked Potatoes
Thursday - Broccoli Braid (YUM!)
Friday - Pizza
Saturday - Chicken Stir Fry and Rice

We had the Spinach and Cheese Stuffed Shells last night and they were delicious! I can't wait to eat the left overs for lunch!
I have been getting all crafty trying new recipes and I think Andrew is about to starve to death because of it. Have I ever mentioned how much he hates trying new things?!?!
He did like 2 of the dishes that I made last week so I guess he's making progress.

We are doing great with our budget! We even had enough left over from last week's grocery money to go on a date on Saturday night.
However, we quickly discovered that we are a bunch of old fogies.
We got all showered and dressed up fancy-like then decided that we would just get a pizza to go and come home to watch a movie in our sweatpants. Nice!

Luckily, it's starting to warm up so we can get back in the swing of having our friends over for cookouts and whatever other themes Andrew thinks up!
So get ready for some invites guys!

On another random note, I love our neighbor!
When Missy moved out last summer we weren't sure what we were going to do with MawMaw's old farm house that's right next door to ours. Then one of Andrew's regulars at the store asked if we were interested in bartering.
Did you know people still barter?!?! In Hampton, GA we do!
So he lives there for free and in exchange he is landscaping our grassless yard, building us a rock wall, and renovating MawMaw's house.
Not to mention that he is the sweetest man ever!
Our washing machine pooped out last week and before Andrew and I even had a chance to stress out about it, he gave us one that he had that he wasn't using!
Praise the Lord. If you've ever smelled a Waffle House uniform after a long day on the grill, you'd know what I'm talking about! (plus our potty training daughter has had a few accidents this week that require some major washing!)
Then he came down to ask if we would like him to fix up a sandbox for Josie and her friends! Ah, heck yeah we do!

I'm off to do some dinner prep.

I love my life!

Good job on the meal plaaning. I find that when I don't have it all listed out and bought on Sunday the week quickly turns to chaos. Hopefully the hubby can go tot he store today since we had the in laws over yesterday and didn't have the chance!
