Journey To Josie: Jolly Old Saint Nick

We have been preparing for this day for weeks. Reading books about it, watching movies about it, talking about it. What is it we were preparing for you say?
Well, a successful picture with Santa of course!
Like I said in an earlier post, we aren't going to do the traditional Santa with Josie. No religious reason or anything like that. We really just think we'd rather have her understand the "spirit" of Santa now rather then trying to explain it after lying for years. (Don't worry friends, we're going to be VERY careful to be sure we don't ruin it for any other children!)
But for some reason, I still can't resist the Jolly Old Man when he's on the Square! So off we went to give it a try.
We got there about 15 minutes before Santa did so we just hung out.

And then... Santa emerged from the service station! Josie was so excited!

Until he got a little too close. Uh oh. This doens't look good for us getting a good picture!

If I didn't know better, I would swear the McDonough Square Santa is the Santa She watched very closely as the boys and girls in front of us took their turn.

And when I told her it was our turn, she went rushing up to him. Waving and blowing kisses.
Until I tried to put her on his lap. She wasn't having that.
In fact, when he tried to put his arm around her, she quickly pushed it off and told him, "No touch!"
