It's Beginning...

To look a lot like Christmas around the Pope House!
On Sunday we finally had a full day with our Man! Josie and I took full advantage of Andrew's snuggles and then put him to work getting the tree out!Josie had no idea what was going on but she knew she didn't want to miss out! She helped Andrew put up the tree like a pro!No, that's not snow in our tree. It seems we decided to just throw it in the attic last year and it landed right in the one spot that has exposed insulation. Nice. So I got to spend an hour picking it all out. Next year, it's getting wrapped in a blanket.Josie showed me where she wanted the ornaments and we were done in no time. I love having the tree up.
She spent the day walking over to the tree, ringing the bells, and admiring our handy work.
Last Christmas was fun, but this year I think will be so much better. She is old enough to really enjoy the lights and the parades and all that other fun stuff. Sitting on Santa's lap on the other hand?!? Well, that is sure to be an experience this year! The Glovers came over to take our family pictures that afternoon. Knowing how Josie usually acts around the camera, I thought it might help to do some practice shots. She was so cute smiling by her tree. However, practicing did absolutely nothing to help with the photo shoot. She did ok, but she was so excited to be free to run in the huge field that she had no interest in looking at the camera. Oh well, she is who she is and we love her just like that!

Sorry to say this...but what are giving that child in her sippy cup? She looks like her daddy did on his birthday in that first picture. :)

I'm so jealous of your tree! Due to our tiny town house, and a 17 month old who demolish a tree...we wont be putting ours up this year :( We do have a small one on our counter though...Tommy cant reach that!
