Time Capsules

We are two weeks into First Grade and so far, it's been awesome.

I know we have technically been doing school for a few years now, but this year feels so official.  She is at an age where she is soaking up the information and now that we are finally over the ABC's 123's we are getting to dig into some fun material.

I am loving the curriculum we are using.  All of it is easy to teach, fun to learn, and fits Josie's learning style very well.  I'm knocking on wood that the rest of the year goes as smoothly as the last two weeks have!

On our first day of school, Josie made a time capsule.

She painted an oatmeal canister, added foot prints, hand prints, a self portrait, a string to measure her height, and a survey of her favorite things.  We will open it on the last day of school and do all the same activities again so that we can see how much she grew!
