Overnight Oats

I'm not a morning person.

I don't like to be woken up, I need 2 cups of coffee to feel human, and I really don't enjoy most breakfast foods.

I've learned that what works best for us is quick, easy breakfasts and this Overnight Oatmeal is perfect.

All you need are oats (we use steel cut oats, regular oats work too), yogurt, milk, chia seeds, and whatever toppings float your boat.

The chia seeds are new to us.  You can make this without them, but they will keep you full for a really long time.

I put 1/4 cup of oats in a small mason jar and top it with 1/4 cup of yogurt.

Then splash some milk on top.  I don't fill ours to the brim but I get a good amount in there.

Stir it up, put the lid on, stick it in the fridge for at least 8 hours.

The next morning you just grab it and add any toppings you want.

I have my very own strawberry picker so we used lots of fresh strawberries.

Our favorites have been mashed up bananas and strawberries and strawberries with chocolate chips!
