Mallard's Fly In

Josie's Nana and Grandpa Curt live in an awesome neighborhood where pretty much everyone owns a plane, has a hanger next to their house, and live right on a runway.

Twice a year they do a huge Fly In where all the neighbors get together to cook out and do airplane games.

So Saturday morning we headed over to get in on the fun!

Josie even got her face painted for the first time!

Josie is the star of the neighborhood. It's hilarious to watch her mingle.

Sometimes I look at Josie and think it's crazy that she gets to do stuff like this. How many kids grow up thinking it's normal to have planes landing in the backyard?!?!

And I can't believe the weather here. It's back up around 80 again.
And we thought Fall was on it's way!

After we ate we sat on the golf cart and watched the pilots do the events.

Next year I am hoping to get some of Josie's friends to come with us.
