I've Heard It Said

That one man's junk is another man's treasure.
And I was really hoping those words were true since I had a whole lotta junk that I wanted out of my house.
Including three huge bags of clothes that Josie never even wore and a bunch of loud toys with no off switch.

Who makes singing toys without off switches?!?! So Amy, Renee, and I got up bright and early and set up all our "goods" and hoped for the best.
The first hour was slow but once Amy put up a bigger sign, we were in business!
I quickly learned that I am not a very good negotiator. So Amy had to take over the barganing and money taking. Little Josie Kat almost got sold so I had to stash her behind the counter!
Not that I wouldn't have sold her for the right price!I'm kidding!
Who could sell that sweet face?!?!
The day went well.
The only exciting thing that happened was Amy's old landlord (the one that forclosed on her house without telling Amy so Amy and Scott found a new house and skipped out) showed up.
I've never seen Amy run so fast in my life! And of course she wanted to talk down all 20 items that she'd picked out.

I made enough money to do a couple of decorating projects that I've been wanting to do so I was super excited.
And I have a couple bags of clothes that I am going to drop off at the new consignment store in Griffin so hopefully I can rack up enough to finish up our bedroom project!
However, sitting in 95 degree heat all day with a tired two year old was no peice of cake so I don't see a lot of yard saleing in my future.

I need to have a yard sale before the summer is over. Baby girl is a coming fast and I need to have room for the even more crud that comes along with girl babies!!

Those negotiators kill me! Our joke about a yard sale is the phrase, "Will you take a quarter for that?"
Hilarious story about the former landlord. You never know who will show up!

I can't believe that the landlord showed up. Maybe she should be saving the money to pay for her houses?
