Our theme this week was April Showers and this cloud experiment was perfect.
We learned all about the water cycle last year so this was a great reinforcement activity.
You'll need a jar, water, shaving cream, and food coloring.
Fill your jar with water and top it with a shaving cream cloud. Then use a water dropper to drop food coloring into the cloud.
We talked about how a cloud holds onto the water it absorbs until it is too full to hold anymore.
Have them keep adding food coloring until it starts to rain in the jar.
Easy, cheap, and a pretty fun project!
