I've been keeping my word and not busting out my camera while I'm doing school with Josie. But I knew this science experiment had the potential of being pretty cool so I broke my rule a little.
This day we were actually having Night School so the pictures are a little dark but you'll get the idea.
My friend, Ashley, gave me this idea a couple months ago and we finally got around to doing it.
It's Diaper Snow!
All you need is a diaper, some water, measuring cups, and a container.
Cut open your diaper and pull out the cotton-y stuff on the inside. Throw that in your container.
Then I had Josie guess how many cups of water the cotton would hold.
She guessed 6 and pretty much hit the nail on the head.
But of course we kept adding after that and the darn stuff just kept soaking it up and getting bigger!
She loved it!
We've done a few other Sensory Tubs but this was the first one she really enjoyed.
It really did look like snow!
The child played for an hour.
By herself.
Do you know how precious an hour of quiet is in my house?!?!
We will for sure be doing this one again!
Like, tomorrow!

She looks like she really, really enjoyed herself. Thanks for sharing!
My kids played that long too when we did that.
What a great idea!!!!
I've always een afraid of whatever was inside diapers after I accidentally threw one in the wash and the whole thing was filled with gross gel! lol
