Random Updates

So I guess it's time to clean off my memory stick and update the blog! I am loving my new job, but I'm so busy there is no way I could update this at work so now I have to find time at home to do it! So here is a bunch of random pictures from the past few weeks. Josie had an up close and personal science lesson in Minnesota. I couldn't believe how close this butterfly was letting her get! She thought it was pretty cool.
Here's the Ladybug with her MaeMae who is also a ladybug. I am so in love with my mom's garden. I've been trying to convince her to come stay with me for a month and plant me an amazing garden. I even promised her I would try really really hard not to kill everything after she leaves!
Me and my little lady enjoying our last day in Minnesota. The weather was awesome the entire week.
This was pretty much what happened all week. Someone had a camera and someone wanted a picture with Josie. Pretty soon she'll be able to give autographs too!
I wish her feet would stay this little forever. So sweet.
One of my favorite memories from the family reunion week in Minnesota was listening to my Gramma Jackie tell stories from when she was a teenager. Now I know where my wild streak came from!
Josie was so good about not touching all the breakables at my moms. She usually does really well with this at our house too since we never actually had to babyproof the house. But the last day in Minnesota these little Snow White figurines must have been calling Josie's name. The sweet thing sat and talked to them and would touch them with one finger. Someday I might let her play with them!
Hey pretty girl!
A fan of flip flops just like her Mama!
Last weekend was Baby Shiggins birthday! He turned 19 which makes me and Andrew feel really old. Where did our little Harry Potter go?!?When we got home on Saturday there were about 20 geese in the field by our house! Must mean the winter is on it's way.It FINALLY rained in Georgia!! Our poor grass was needing a good rain and that's exactly what it got! I decided to take Josie out to play in the rain since it was such a warm rain. She stood in it for about 2 minutes before she decided that standing outside getting wet was indeed not a fun idea. She played in the garage while I pulled weeds! We are still waiting to hear about Andrew's store. Hopefully we will have a positive answer by Wednesday. Other then that we are just enjoying having our friends over and playing lots of Catch Phrase!
I am starting to plan one of my best friend's baby shower so I am really excited about that. I absolutely LOVE to plan a party!! Little Ean will be here in just a couple months and I can't wait to meet him!

Josie's 18 Month Stats

Josie just had her 18 month check up. I thought she might get away not needing shots, but she ended up needing one. Poor baby.

She is still just 20 lbs (under 5% for her age)
She is 30.5 inches long (between 10 - 25 % for her age)
And her noggin is 18.5 inches around (50% for her age)

She is still really low in weight, but not underweight and the doctor said not to worry about it and that we should just feed her what she will eat. Which currently consists of anything with spaghetti sauce, mac and cheese, peanut butter and jelly, and oatmeal. Crazy kid!

I promise the Minnesota pics are coming. There were over 800 so I had to weed through them and find a good website to post them to. I should have them up and running by Wednesday.

I started my new job last Wednesday and I love it! I'm doing payroll and accounting stuff. More on that later!

Minnesota!

Josie and I headed out early Thursday morning to come back to Minnesota. She was awesome on the flight and entertained everyone at the airport while we waited for our bags. She is so cute! We hung out at my mom's on Thursday. Josie had a great time rearranging all the rocks in the landscaping.
Then on Friday morning we headed up to the Ranch to help get everything set up for the reunion on Saturday. Josie was in rare form and acting SO silly! I guess that's what no nap will do to a one year old!
I made her a little tutu and she looked adorable in it. She figured out how to "jump" a few weeks ago and this is her showing us her new skill!
By day two with no nap this is the face that we got a lot of. My cousin Emma was going to do her 18 month pictures by the river, but they would have all ended up looking like the one above so we passed on the session.
She loved the river! Ryan taught her how to throw rocks into the water and she thought that was the coolest thing ever!
Uncle Aaron!
Saturday was the big reunion! There were about 130 people there and it was so much fun. People came from all over the country! The day was action packed!
The Rouillard Girls know how to get the party started!
Josie spent the entire day at the ice bucket. The kid is obsessed with chewing ice, even if I have told her repeatedly that it takes the enamel off her teeth. I guess she isn't too concerned with that yet!
We even whipped out the huge bubble wand! Kadie was the only one who could figure out how to use it though, so it didn't last long. Two days later, she finally fell asleep! She was ready for action when she woke up from her little nap! Here she is learning to play the bean bag game with Cash!
At the end of the party Grandpa took us all on a hayride and it was so much fun! I forgot how big the farm is up there!Aaron drove us up to Grandma and Grandpa Purmort's house on Sunday so they could see Josie too. It was a great visit. Josie went right to them and played. She fell asleep on Grandma during dinner!
I have a billion more pictures to post so I will put a link up once I upload them. We have one more family picnic today and then Josie and I will fly home tomorrow!

Braves Game and Life Changes.

Last week was a pretty crazy week. I found out on Tuesday that I was being let go from my job. I work in the building industry and the market just isn't enough for our company to stay the size it currently is. It wasn't a total surprise since we are all fully aware of the industry we're in. I was a bit freaked out, but luckily I have amazing friends, one of whom was able to get me a job! So I was actally only unemployeed for two days! I am taking a pay cut for the new job, but it looks like Andrew will be getting his store in the next couple weeks which will raise his income quite a bit. Everything always works out for the Popes! But as many of you know, I really suck at change, so pray for me! Tomorrow will be my last day at Manor Homes then I am taking Josie up to Minnesota for a week and I'll start my new job when I get back.
I did get one last Manor Homes perk though. Our lawyer handed out tickets to last weekends Braves game! The Braves are really sucking it up this year, but Andrew and I only go for the crappy food, over priced cokes, and to people watch so we were fine! We did find some crazy people who actually like baseball to come with us! Happy to see all the crazy people!
I love having Best Friends again.
Yea Scott! He has to work really hard to keep his eyes open for pictures!
Our seats were right on the 3rd base line about 20 rows up, prime foul ball teritory! Scott was on gaurd to save our pretty faces!mmmm! Dippin Dots that come in awesome little baseball hats! So worth the $8!This is what Scott has to look forward to in 7 months! Amy forgot to take my picture with the baby bump on. It was hilarious and made me consider getting pregnant. Well, until I remembered that I would need a new wardrobe! No thanks!
On Saturday we had an awesome time at little Julian's 1st birthday party! It was kid central! They did such an amazing job! Josie got to have Kool-Aid, Flavor Ice, AND cake and ice cream! I really am slipping on my no sugar kick. It was worth it for the sugar induced silliness that followed!Josie and the Birthday Boy!This was exactly how I felt at the end of the week. I'm so ready to go home!
On another note, Andrew and I decided to go back to church. We found one that has a Sunday night service that we really are liking. It feels nice to be back.
