I'm pretty sure...

That I need this for Josie's room. You can buy it for me here...
Wall Candy

"Go Night Night"

Every night, around 7:30, you can find our entire family laying on the floor in our play area. Josie's newest game is telling me and Andrew to go Night Night. We all take turns laying down and going night night. Snoring is required. When she gets sick of our snoring, it's her babies turn to go night night. She kinda piles them all up, we'll have to work on that before she is allowed to put her younger siblings to bed! She has also started to make a smooching noise when she wants us to follow her. Kind of like when you are calling a dog. Not sure who taught her that, but it's hilarious.
Josie Kat is just so sweet right now. It's innocent little games like she is playing now that I will miss as she grows up. But that's a long ways off. Right now, we will all lay on the floor and go night night together for as long as she'll let us.

Ridem Cowgirl!

Josie seems to think that the trash can is some sort of riding toy. She seriously does this EVERY time I bring this can down to be emptied. And you all wonder why I don't buy her more toys?!!

"A B B B"

Josie's got the tune, now to get past the letter B!

Daddy Days...

One of the perks of Andrew's new job is that he usually has a couple days off during the week so he can keep Josie. It's great, he gets to spend time with his baby and we save money on daycare.
The past couple weeks Andrew has either been off on the weekend days or had stuff going on where he couldn't keep Josie. Yesterday was his first day back on Daddy Duty.
This is what I found five minutes after I walked in the door...It was 5:45! I guess Josie is more exhausting then Waffle House!
Josie was quite pleased with herself and her daddy wearing out skills! At least he waited until I got home to fall asleep! Today is round two. Since he went to sleep at 8:15 last night, I would think he'll be more up to the task!
They did go vote though!!! Yea for civic duty!!

Not Me Monday!

Oh boy! What a week!

It wasn't me who ignored the signs of an oncoming cold last Sunday so that I wouldn't have to miss out on Halloween festivities. I always take excellent care of myself and when I don't feel well, I always cancel all my plans to allow time for rest.

I did not come down with a serious illness that night. (Boo). I did not spend my week, coughing, hacking, snotting, sleeping, blowing my nose, or not being able to taste the delicious candy I did not eat all week. (hey, it's the week before Halloween. I gotta test all the candy.)

I did not beg my husband to go get me a cough suppressant last Wednesday night at midnight hoping to get at least a couple hours of sleep in before work. After he did not go get me said medicine, I did not proceed to take the huge measuring cup he brought me and then proceed to pass out.

I did not wake up late and in a NyQuil induced daze just six hours later. I did not go to the kitchen and read that I was only supposed to take ONE capful, not two!!! (no wonder I couldn't snap out of it!)

I did not fear for my life when driving that morning. I am way more responsible then driving while drugged up on cough medicine.

I was not at all jealous when Andrew decided to bring Josie to daycare on his day off instead of keeping her so that he could go out with an old friend. I cherish every second I get to spend with my Josie Kat and NEVER wish her daycare was open on the weekends. I do not need grownup time.

I did not pretend to fall asleep one night just as the dryer buzzed to get out of folding the laundry. I would never milk a sickness!

I was in no way proud when my baby said her first really long sentence this week! ("No no Boo-Boo's! Don't push the baby down!) I did not pretend that she actually said the words in the right order to make her smile.

I did not have to put away our summer clothes this weekend. We live in the south and it is always a breezy 78 degrees. We don't need sweaters.

I did not give in to the persistant ice cream (Marble Slab, german chocolate with cookie dough mixed in to be exact) craving that I harbored all week. I am made of will power.

It wasn't me that got TWO wonderful suprises from two different amazing people this week. Surely it wasn't my husband who brought me Starbuck and Subway when I wasn't feeling well only to be followed by my BFF bringing me another Starbucks on Friday! Man I know I'm not that lucky!

It wasn't me who displayed extreme will power by not buying any of the clothes I wanted while out shopping with my Amers...And I know it won't be me at those same stores today buying said clothing. I never give in to temptation!

What didn't you do this week????

My New Oasis...

Serendipity is a new store in Griffin that will monogram pretty much anything!
It's my new favorite. So much so that I am considering foregoing Starbucks just to save money for...
A monogramed coffee mug
A monogramed photo album
A monogramed bag
And of course a couple monogramed things for Josie Kat!

Ahhh, I love finding new treasures!

Peace.

Out.The Vassuers are our heros! Thanks for the amazing tye-dyed shirts! We love them! (and the rest of the goodies are being enjoyed too!!)

Halloween Party!

Sunday afternoon was the annual Halloween Party! All the kids look so cute (even if they only left their costumes on for about 5 minutes!). Josie was in no mood for a group shot! She's breaking her molars plus she had a crazy busy weekend with only a very short nap before the party. So I kindly removed her from the picture so that the other parents could have a good picture! My favorite type of picture is a behind the scenes type shot. I think they are so funny and show the real situation! Especially when there are kids involved!
Josie's costume turned out so great! It was a little cuter before, but we had cooler weather then I was expecting so I had to make some last minute adjustments. It still turned out adorable. She looked like a little fairy ballerina, which was what I was going for so I was pretty excited about that! She didn't want to carry her pixie dust bag though.Of course she fell and busted her lip right before the party so she had a nice swollen lip.
Josie loves Amy's dad!
We ended the night with a bird pooping on Tiffany! It was crazy! I'm pretty sure I've never seen that happen before!
We had to leave early for our Bible Study so Josie had to miss out on the pinata fun. We have a couple other Halloween festivities so I'm hoping to get a better shot of her costume! I love holidays!

Another special visit!

That's right! Both my parents came in the same week! Dad and Patricia were in town for a trade show so we got to spend time with them too! I've noticed that since Josie came along, I never get my picture taken with my parents!!
Yes, if you come visit us for any amount of time, we will take you to Andrew's Waffle House! (They have a new dollar menu and the lunch and dinner food is amazing!)
Josie had a great time playing with Grandpa and Grandma!

Zoo Atlanta!

Amy, Scott, Renee, and I took the midgets to the zoo on Saturday. The weather was absolutely perfect and we had a great time!
Against my better judgement, we went to the petting zoo area. Personally, I find few things more disgusting then random farm animals standing around pooping and then letting your children touch them and run through said poop. But after I got over the germ side of it, the kids really did like it. It was amusing to look at the goats and pigs. They were most defiantly doped up on some major tranquilizers. They just stared off into space while all the little kids hit, poked, and screamed at them.Notice the look of concern on my face??? Josie kept trying to kiss the goats back. SO GROSS!A doped up goat. This guy was my favorite! What does the monkey say?Pretty soon there will be 4!This bird liked Josie. Or maybe he just wanted her sandwich.Little cutie!Amy's boys! Our little merekats!

Josie Meets Oreos!

And she is in love!
She licked most of them and put the rest back. I guess we get her leftovers now!

Mae Mae comes to town!

My mom came and spent a couple days with us last week. It was awesome! I love love love having her here. She babysat Josie for two days and they had a blast together. Josie loves that Mae Mae!
Of course, my mom adorned Josie in full ladybug gear while she was here!
Visits with my parents are always too short. So hurry back Mae Mae!

It Wasn't Me Monday!

Ahhhh, this stuff is better then therapy!

I did not spend 2 glorious days with my mom last week. I did not cherish every second of watching her play with Josie.

I did not fight back my tears as my daughter cried out for her Mae Mae when we dropped her off at the airport (my mom, not my daughter!). I did not think it would be too much for her if we were all crying.

I did not feed my child Waffle House 2 nights and pizza 2 nights this week for dinner. I am not that lazy after work! If I had let her eat such dinners, I would not then proceed to allow her to eat Oreos. If she did eat such a horrid snack as Oreos, I would not let her lick each one and then put them back. I would not have neglected to tell my husband about said licked cookies, and I know I wouldn't have taken pictures!

I did not bribe my child to wear her Tinkerbell TuTu to the Halloween party on Sunday with brownies. I know I didn't try to reason with her about how hard I worked on her costume, since she's only 1 and reasoning with her is crazy!

It wasn't me who fell asleep at 8:30 on Thursday night! I am a night owl. My night is just getting started at 8:30!

I did not have the crabbiest little Tinkerbell at the party last night! Not having a nap for two days does not make my child turn into a grumpypants. I did not lock my keys in my car. (Hey, at least I got Josie out before I did (not) do it!)

I know for SURE that I did not wear the same clothes I wore to bed last night to work today. That would be gross. Not to mention really lazy. And even if I were to do something like that, I know that I would have at least done my hair. (At least I brushed my teeth!)

MckMama's blog has LOTS of other blogs that just had to confess what they didn't do, go check it out!

I promise that I have some great pictures to post from the past week. I'm fighting a nasty sore throat and have been going to bed really early.

Not Me Monday!

I waited all week to be able to join in MckMama's Not Me Mondays!

It's Monday and I know that I did not do any of the following...

I did not start my not my list on Tuesday because I was in no way excited about it. I know I that I wasn't at all worried that I might forget one of the very important things that I did not even do.

After not starting my list so early I know that it wasn't me who ended up forgetting all the funny Not Me's I did, I mean, did not do.

I did not get way overly excited when my best friend's ultrasound got moved up to Thursday. It would be silly for me to be more excited then she is to find out the sex of the baby, so I'm not of course. After all, Josie does not need a little girl to play with. (FYI - IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!)

I know that I did not check my email account over 10 times last Monday to see if I had any new comments on my "Not Me Monday." That's what obsessive people do. And I am NOT obsessive. About anything. Ever.

I did not laugh out loud when I asked my 20 month old where Jesus lives and she responded, "me nose" instead of my heart! That would only reinforce such silly answers and it is entirely possible that Jesus was residing in her nose at that time since we are praying a cold off of her. I never laugh at my daughter.

It wasn't me who celebrated making it a whole week without one stop at Starbucks by, doing what else, going to Starbucks! Only a true coffee addict would do that, and I, of course, am not addicted to coffee. Especially not Starbucks.

I was not surprised at all when I opened the new non-chlorinated diapers that I bought after reading MckMama's postings about what the chlorine can do to little baby bottoms and they were, ummm, dirty looking! After all, only an idiot would not be aware that the chlorine is what makes the diapers so white!

I did not watch a Lifetime movie yesterday instead of cleaning my house to get ready for my mommy's arrival this afternoon. Lifetime movies are so silly. If I had watched one, it wouldn't have been about teachers having affairs with their middle school students. And after such an unproductive 2 hours, I surely wouldn't tivo another one for next weekend. That would be wasteful.

What didn't you do last week!?!

Both my parents are coming through over the next week so I should have lots of fun pictures for you!
